Description
Hi everyone,
I'm a 1st year Politics PhD student at the University of Southampton, attempting to use Understanding Society to analyse the relationship between occupational mobility and political attitudes.
I'm interested in the International Socio-Economic Index, developed [[https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Harry-Ganzeboom/publication/222455322_A_Standard_Socio-Economic_Index_of_Occupational_Status/links/5dca015e458515143503c511/A-Standard-Socio-Economic-Index-of-Occupational-Status.pdf]] , explained further here [[http://www.harryganzeboom.nl/Pdf/2010%20-%20Ganzeboom-ISEI08-ISSP-Lisbon-(paper).pdf]] and recently used [[https://www.cambridge.org/core/services/aop-cambridge-core/content/view/DE987CD109A835114C6AEADE7FEBB5B8/S0003055422000077a.pdf/div-class-title-disappointed-expectations-downward-mobility-and-electoral-change-div.pdf]] .
I understand that ISCO codes are needed to compute it, and I'm pretty sure this isn't possible on Understanding Society, but I thought I'd come here to see if anyone knew for certain!
All the best and thanks for anyone's help in advance.
George
