closedInnovation Panel Variables and Wave
100%
Description
Hello,
I would want to filter variables depending on their presence in certain waves of the innovation panel (e.g., to see only the variables that were present in all first four waves).
Is there a database with all the questions asked (and with a wave variable) or something similar? Any other idea that is smarter than looking at each question and the associated variables is highly welcomed.
Thank you,
Alexandru Cernat

Alexandru,
The online documentation has something called "Variable occurence", see e.g.
https://www.understandingsociety.ac.uk/documentation/search/ip_variable/b_indresp_ip~b_jbstat
this shows you in which other waves a particular variable was included.
Another approach would be to look at when particular modules are going to be included (content plan);
https://www.understandingsociety.ac.uk/documentation/mainstage/long-term-content-plan
Innovation Panel (IP) questionaires generally carry the same modules as the Main stage instrument. The IP design is also described in more detail in the IP user guide (e.g. Section 9);
We are always keen to receive suggestions to how we could improve the (online) data documentation and I will pass your idea on to the documentation team for information.
