NPD SDS data

Hello

I have recently received access to the NPD-Und soc linked data on the SDS.

I have looked at the data and only the NPD data is on the SDS though the data files do include the PIDP which seems to be the only variable from the main und soc. data. I expected to see, alongside the key stage files, the usual indresp files for instance.

Does the main understanding society data need to be separately requested and added to the SDS in order to manually match the data?

Many thanks for your enquiry.

Ideally, you mention upfront all Understanding Society data that you want to access as part of your Secure Data application. As you have noticed, the NPD data alone are not that useful without the main survey data added. Please get in touch with the helpdesk at the UKDS () who will be able to guide you through the process of how to request additional data to be added to your project area on the Secure Data Server.
