Description
Dear USS Team,
I wish to develop indicates of social cohesion at the small are level, preferably the LSOA level. If I obtain the micro data with geographic identifiers via the secure data service is the data robust at the LSOA level to develop social cohesion indices?
Kind regards,Karyn

Dear Karyn,
Many thanks for your enquiry.
The data are not robust at the LSOA level. We have no more than a handful of respondents in each of the LSOA we observe (in Wave 1) and given the nature of our sample, it can be expected that many of the people who live in the same LSOA will be members of the same household.
The data are representative for regions so it would be possible to develop indicators of social cohesion at that level.
We hope this helps,
Best wishes, Victoria
