Modified oecd equivalence scale

Description
What are the criteria used in this scale? I find the applicable variables in the HH file misleading. eg. wave 'e' indicates that an adult is 15+ for oecd purposes and that a child is aged 0-14, however, the modified oecd scale uses 0-13 and 14+. Is this a labeling error in the data and the scale has been created using 0-13 and 14+ or is the US scale in error?

Dear David,
for the purpose of deriving this scale Understanding Society currently defines children as persons aged 0-14, following a number of publications by the ONS. Following your query we have now traced the official definition by EUROSTAT -- http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/Glossary:Equivalised_disposable_income -- which defines chidren as persons aged 0-13.
We will allign the Understanding Society scale with the official EUROSTAT version for the next data release. Thank you for making us aware of this inconsistency.
