Description
Hi,
the BHPS (original) used to include two controls for unemployment experience (wNJUSP = number of unemployment spells and wNJUWKS = unemployment duration in weeks last year). Now I cannot find any control for unemployment experience in wave B of Understanding Society and only c_nunmpsp_dv (number of spells) in wave C. Will additional information on these issues become available with the next data release due in November or is the information indeed hidden elsewhere?
Thank you very much for your answer in advance.

The number of employment, non-employment and unemployment spells since the last interview are provided in W2+. Users should note that BHPS sample members may not have been interviewed for >2 years which means frequency distributions may look quite different for the different samples, in particular in W2. We do not have plans to provide additional markers for employment/unemployment/non-employment spells for the next release but may do so in the future. Having said that, the code to derive these variables is currently under review and the next release version will include an updated version.
