Description
I am unclear on what weighting I should apply:
I want to look at sandwich carers and GHQ12 in wave 14 and 15 so according to the protocol this should be o_indscg2_lw as GHQ12 is self complete, but this doesnt exist? so should I use o_inding2_lw or o_indscui_lw? or have I totally muisunderstood? this is Masters level research so I dont want to get into anything too complicated.

You are right. We have provided the explanation in our user guide section on weights: "Note: for cross-sectional analysis from Wave 15 onwards and for a longitudinal analysis starting at Wave 14 or later there is no longer a distinction between self-completion, proxy and main adult interviews. For all such analysis consider main adult interview level."

Thank you for your question. You should use o_inding2_lw. This is equivalent to the old o_indscg2_lw.
