Description
Good Morning
I am interested in the variable livpar. Particularly, I would like to know if this variable (or a similar one) can be connected to respondents who are adults, as it seems to appear in the child questionnaire. I am interested in researching young adults (who can work, vote, and take similar actions, so legally adults) who live with their parents, but I am not sure if I could identify them using the Understanding Society waves.
Best regards

Hello Fernando,
The livpar variable is available in both the child and the indall files. The indall file includes all individuals in the Study, regardless of age. You can find more details using the Mainstage Variables search:
https://www.understandingsociety.ac.uk/documentation/mainstage/variables/
If you need individual responses information, you will need to merge indall with the indresp file (which contains data for respondents aged 16 and over) using pidp, the cross-wave person identifier.
I hope this information is helpful.
Best wishes,
Roberto Cavazos
