Assistance with Extracting Variables from income.dta

Description
Dear Support Team,
I am using Understanding Society data for my master's thesis and need to separate the unearned income of wives from that of their husbands. Due to the issue of joint reporting of benefits and unearned income, I need to extract specific variables (e.g., frjt and frval) from income.dta.
I have saved these variables on the website and attempted to generate the data file using the Stata Code Creator, but they do not appear in the generated code.
How can I ensure that variables from income.dta are correctly included in my dataset?

Dear Chiara,
I'm guessing this could be because in the income file each row does NOT correspond to a single respondent. Each respondent can report up to three receipts (fiseq) of a particular benefit (ficode). In other words, for some respondents there are multiple rows and pidp does not uniquely identify rows, and a unique identifier is given by a combination of pidp, ficode, and fiseq. When you look at the file you will see that it is structured in this way, pidp, fiseq, and ficode, tells you to whom, to which receipt, and of which benefit the row corresponds and the variables that follow like "Last amount received" and "Period covered by last amount received" will you give you further details.
My suggestion would be to first get the information from other files using Code Creator and then add the necessary information from the income file. You would still need to consider how to transform the income data to fit your respondent-level file.
