Understanding Society User Support

I am currently using the Family Network Module in w_indresp but have noticed some inconsistencies when comparing results with w_egoalt . For example, for the respondent with pidp 1162045368 in hidp 1162045208, the data indicate he resides with his biological parents in Wave 5 (according to egoalt.dta ). However, he also reports having alive biological parents who do not reside in the same household (i.e., lvrel1 & lvrel2 =1 and lvrel9 & lvrel10=0 in indresp.dta ).

Given these contradictory results, could you please suggest how best to define his distance to his parents—whether to consider him as co-residing with them based on egoalt or as not co-residing based on indresp ?
