Description
Hello,
I am using R for my work, and I am trying to understand how to merge data files (indresp, hhresp, newborn) from one wave into a single dataset. I want to merge data for one wave (w6) first, and then merge the same data across various waves (w6, 7, 8, 9, etc.). can you please tell me a more efficient way to do it?
Thank you.

Hello,
I recommend checking our Introduction to Understanding Society Moodle course: https://open.essex.ac.uk/enrol/index.php?id=221 Worksheets 2 and 3 discuss how to merge files from more than one wave, and worksheets 4 and 5 discuss how to link household level data to individual level data. The R code is included.
Best wishes,
Piotr Marzec
