Description

Hi,

Which differences are there between the plnowy4 and mvyr variables? In the description both are denoted as year of moving to current address, but they have different valeus in each wave for the same household.

If you look at the universe for these questions you will see who gets asked each question. You can find the Universe either using the interactive online variable search or in the questionnaires (the Universe field is located below the question).

You will see that
(i) plnowy4 is asked of those who have been interviewed before and have moved (either they have moved or the household they were in has)
(ii) mvyr is asked of new entrants who have never been interviewed and have reported in MVEVER question that they have not lived at current address whole life.
