mariatl status change between wave 1 and 2

Dear all,

I want to combine the marital histories from wave 1 and the new events reported in wave 2.
In the second wave there are several variable reporting changes in marital status.

"b_mstatsam" displays that 726 individuals changed marital status. When one tabulates the year of those changes only 663 cases actually happened between 2009 and 2011. There are several case which date before the interview of the first wave. I do not understand how to deal with those events. Are those marital status changes which have been forgotten in the marital history check of the first wave?

I would be very thankful for any comments on this issue. Any further advice on merging marital and cohabitation information between waves are also more than welcome.
