Description

I am working with the 2019 mainstage data (baseline for COVID waves) and want to know which variables to use to identify which diagnosed health conditions an individual currently has. If this is not possible, then can we identify whether they have ever had that condition, without needing to look back at previous waves?

For example, does jk_hcondncode1 tell us how many people have asthma now, how many people have ever reported having asthma (since Wave 1) or just how many people have reported having asthma for the first time in Waves 10/11?

One of the FAQs on the website says that there has been a change in how heath condition information is collected from Wave 10, but no further details are given.

Thank you.
