Description
ypwght appears as a physical characteristic on:
https://www.understandingsociety.ac.uk/documentation/mainstage/dataset-documentation/index/physical-characteristics
ypwght young person weight youth
But, unless I am mistaken it is a samping (weight) factor and has nothing to do with young person weight in e.g. lbs/kgs.
https://www.iser.essex.ac.uk/bhps/documentation/volb/indexes/subjcat17.html#Sampling%20Factors
e.g. Volume A: Introduction, Technical Report and Appendices – The BHPS Data
A3-42: states
"This record type contains the responses to the Young persons questionnaire, asked of children aged 11 to 15 on 1st December 1994. There will be one record for each respondent young person. Such respondents have the value 21 for the final interview outcome variable DIVFIO. The variable DYPWGHT contains an individual cross-sectional weight to be used specifically with the youth responses."
So I think (?) that ypwght should not be appearing as a physical characteristic variable on
