Description

I am interested in using the height/weight/BMI data in wave 3 of UKHLS however I noticed the sample size is quite a lot smaller than in wave 2 (around 4,800 vs 16,000). I wondered whether further data from the nurse visits is likely to be added to wave 3, or have fewer visits been made than in wave 2?
many thanks

The nurse visits were spread over two waves to cover two different sample populations within the Understanding Society study, i.e. the General Population Sample following Wave 2 and the smaller British Household Panel Survey following Wave 3.
See also #269 for further detail about BMI data.
