Description

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am coming back to a dissertation I wrote a few years ago in the hope to rewrite it for publication in a journal. It utilised some political variables from the UKHLS such as voteintent (voting intention) and vote7 (voter turnout).

I have noticed that these variables are missing from the variable search on the main UKHLS website and was just wondering why? Will this be temporary or have these variables been removed from the search permanently?

Thanks,

Joe

Hello Joe

I can confirm variables voteintent (voting intention) and vote7 (voted in last general election) are still available for different waves in the Wave 15 release issued in December 2025. The tabulations are shown below.

The site is currently being updated, and you may experience intermittent issues with the displayed information.

I hope this information is helpful.

Best wishes,
