Regarding hiqual_dv data

Description
I merged child data with parents data and I created hiqual_dv_mom variable. Over the waves and for each child this variable was not consistent so i generated min of this variable using bys pidp wave command. Now I want to create binary variable alevels above and below alevels and i have to perform reverse coding here how I am going to do so

I am not sure I understand your question. Are you asking why mother's hiqual_dv is different across waves? hiqual_dv_mom will change over time for those cases where the mother's whose hiqual_dv has changed over time. So, this is ok.
