Generally speaking, the employee pay variables refer to “usual” pay. The Study asks about the last net payment in their current job (variable w_paynl) and if they report this is not usual, the study asks what is the usual pay in their current job (w_payu).
Therefore, respondents report depends on what they receive/usually receive in their current job regardless if they are on leave.
