Hi - i'm not sure this is the correct forum but hoping you can help. I'm using CACI Acorn data which supply UK ethnicity rates which are sourced from 'Understanding Society'
They are reporting UK currently stands 92.2% white, which is quite different to the UK Census latest figures of 85.1% white (2011)
I'm hoping I can check these figures via this forum and the 5% swing in 9 years seems quite large.
Support #1186 (Resolved): Ethnicity Data Inapplicable https://iserredex.essex.ac.uk/support/issues/11862019-04-20T16:06:20ZFreya Cook

Hi i am looking to work with the ethnicity data in the BHPS sample, i was going through the data in stata and have found that it is fine until 2003 and after that around 90% of the data is inapplicable in relation to ethnicity. i am currently using bx_racel_bh. I understand that ethnicity is only asked as participants enter the survey and thus a derived variable may be needed but cannot find this dervied variable, am i missing it? any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Support #984 (Resolved): Variables Only Available in IEMBhttps://iserredex.essex.ac.uk/support/issues/9842018-06-18T11:41:59ZHaydn Brownh.brown1@manchester.gov.uk
