When you say you are trying to link couples in households across waves, have you produced couple identifiers and then are trying to link couples across waves using these couple identifiers?

Yes, I have.
I used the "Matching individuals within a household" syntax and then generated an id for each couple based on the personal identifiers
Understanding Society User Support - Support #1529: Linking couples across waveshttps://iserredex.essex.ac.uk/support/issues/1529?journal_id=60162021-04-06T16:59:32ZUnderstanding Society User Support Teamusersupport@understandingsociety.ac.uk

Status changed from In Progress to Feedback

% Done changed from 30 to 80

ok, thanks. Thse couple identifiers use pno & ppno and so are unique within a household and wave. So, you cannot use these to link couples across waves. To do that you will need to create couple IDs using the PIDPs of the couple.
Understanding Society User Support - Support #1529: Linking couples across waveshttps://iserredex.essex.ac.uk/support/issues/1529?journal_id=60172021-04-06T17:10:47Zyoav Eilon
